- First of all.. the golden tip: Once you install your Linux, customize it. Nearly all Linux flavors are famous for being highly customizable. I'll be talking in details about this in different post later.
- Terminal: Yes you heard me, don't be afraid of using the terminal. In fact I encourage you to use it as much as you can. At the end of the day, if things gets ugly, you can always role back or install a fresh copy of Linux again.
- Install Compiz Fusion: Compiz Fusion is a great tool to transfer you normal desktop to a 2D-3D wonder. Compiz Fusion installation will be covered in another post.
- Install a dock: Another way to transfer your desktop to a more functional space. Try Cairo-Dock for a starter.
